For the last two years I have concentrated my efforts developing a series of engraved pieces titled "The secret garden"

I have been exploring the use of deep sandblasting through the surface of the glass to give three-dimensional form to the imagery.

The holes created allow light to pass through the piece and reveal the inside surface of the engraved imagery giving an additional spectrum of colour.

The unique piece I have created is part of the exclusive "secret garden series and is titled the the Humming Birds Garden of Orchids.

The piece incorporates the use of four colours, with an inside colour casing of ruby and outside casing of green , white and amethyst.

The vase has been sandblasted through the surface in sections, acid dipped and diamond engraved in fine detail to depict two humming birds in a garden of trailing orchids.
