Artist's Statement from Joanna Manousis

Artist's Statement

“My work focuses on the combination of 2 dimensional imagery with 3 dimensional form, giving kiln cast, and blown glass sculpture both physical depth and narrative.

I am interested in translating the fragility of glass as a medium, creating literary objects that often hold reference to my own memory and childhood”
